Bidirectional Interleaved DC–DC Converter for Supercapacitor Energy Storage Integration with Reduced Capacitance

This paper analyzes the control method of a multiphase interleaved DC–DC converter for supercapacitor energy storage system integration in DC bus with reduced input and output filter size. A reduction size is achieved by operating only modes duty cycles that correspond to smaller current ripples. leads limited charging discharging process system. Therefore, detailed analysis optimal strategy provided this converters different numbers phases. The results show such can be used, albeit some percentage loss efficiency. Experimental are presented verify theoretical results.
