BIM-enabled semantic web for automated safety checks in subway construction

چکیده

Rule-based construction safety checking aims to inspect risk factors during the process ensure that factor states are within thresholds. However, integrating multisource and text-based rules remains a challenge. This study proposes semantic approach integrate heterogeneous data under building information modeling (BIM) environment enable automated through SPARQL-based reasoning. In this framework, four interconnected ontologies developed provide schema for subway checking. Safety extracted from BIM sensor then converted into integrated ontology instances. Text-based automatically transformed rules. The proposed framework can improve knowledge sharing promote real-time A case is illustrated show how be applied, confirming feasibility effectiveness of framework.

Organizational Divisions in BIM-Enabled Commercial Construction

Proponents claim that the adoption of building information modeling BIM will lead to greater efficiencies through increased collaboration. In this paper, we present research that examines the use of BIM technologies for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety systems often referred to as MEP coordination and how the introduction of BIM influences collaboration and communication. ...

Supporting Model-Based Construction of Semantic-Enabled Web Applications

Semantic annotation of Web content is in the core of the current Semantic Web Activity. The operationalization of the Semantic Web raises the challenge on how to systematically integrate semantic annotations into generated Web application pages. In this paper, we present VizCo, a tool for systematically integrating RDF based semantically enriched application domain models into the process of se...

How Leadership Overcomes Organizational Divisions in Bim- Enabled Commerical Construction

Proponents of Building Information Modeling (or BIM) often claim that the adoption of these technologies will lead to greater efficiencies through increased collaboration. In this paper, we present findings from a research project that explores the use of BIM technologies for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety (known often collectively as MEP) systems coordination and the im...

Enhancing Safety throughout Construction using BIM/VDC

Construction jobsites are some of the most dangerous workplaces. According to the Bureau of Labor, in 2008 1005 fatalities resulted from construction accidents, and cost industry approximately $11.5 billion annually. Many construction accidents could be avoided through better engineering and administrative controls, and improved safety training. 3D visualization and analyses are situated to pla...

Prescriptive Safety-Checks through Automated Proofs for Control-Flow Integrity

Embedded software today is pervasive: they can be found everywhere, from coffee makers and medical devices, to cars and aircraft. Embedded software today is also open and connected to the Internet, exposing them to external attacks that can cause its Control-Flow Integrity (CFI) to be violated. Control-Flow Integrity is an important safety property of software, which ensures that the behavior o...
