چکیده

Bio-based epoxy curing agents from lignin was synthesized by ring-opening reactions of cyclic aza-silane species to obtain lignin-based with amine hydroxyl equivalent weights up 68 g/eq. Its cure kinetics investigated differential scanning calorimetry in which two representative aromatic and aliphatic were employed being diglycidyl ether bisphenol F (DGEBF) epoxidized soybean oil (ESBO). Utilizing Borchardt Daniels' method kinetic parameters, the activation energies, Ea, determined 101 ± 3 kJ/mol 71 7 pre-exponential factors, ln(Z), 27.6 0.9 s−1 13.3 1.7 respectively for DGEBF ESBO. The higher factor attributed π-π stacking interactions between components resulting overall faster aromatic-based species. agent retained antioxidative properties cured thermosets could act as an anti-corrosive agent. This enables preparation coatings without need leachable additive antioxidants.

Properties and curing kinetics of C21-based reactive polyamides as epoxy-curing agents derived from tung oil

Three C21-based reactive polyamides were synthesized from tung oil and different polyamines. The thermal and mechanical properties of cured products of the C21-based polyamides and diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) were investigated. It was found that the cured materials were superior to those cured by C36-based polyamides in tensile strength and flexural strength and had a better flexura...

Catalyzed Synthesis and Characterization of a Novel Lignin-Based Curing Agent for the Curing of High-Performance Epoxy Resin

In this study, lignin, an aromatic compound from the forestry industry, was used as a renewable material to synthesize a new aromatic amine curing agent for epoxy resin. Firstly, lignin was separated from black liquor and hydroxyl groups were converted to tosyl groups as leaving groups. Then, primary amination was conducted using an ammonia solution at high pressure and temperature, in the pres...

Self-curing with epoxy groups

Isocyanate-free cathodic ED coatings. Most of the resins used in the cathodic electrodeposition (CED) coatings are made from modified epoxy resin and blocked polyisocyanate in which the crosslinking is achieved by polyurethane and polyurea formation. A resin system has been developed that is isocyanate free and avoids not only the toxicity aspect, but also, to a great extent, the weight loss of...

Kinetics and Mechanism of Curing Epoxy/anhydride Systems

The paper reports the results of studying the kinetics of DGEBA reactions with maleic anhydride catalyzed by N, N-dimethyl aniline (DMA). This stuffs are used as photoelastic model materials. The origination of monoester was studied separately on a model reaction of maleic anhydride with isopropyl alcohol. The subsequent reaction of epoxy groups with monoester was examined on a system of epoxy ...

Characterization and Curing Kinetics of Epoxy/Silica Nano-Hybrids

The sol-gel technique was used to prepare epoxy/silica nano-hybrids. The thermal characteristics, curing kinetics and structure of epoxy/silica nano-hybrids were studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), 29Si nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). To improve the compatibility between the organic and inorganic phases, a coupling agent was used t...
