Biochar Application Maintains Photosynthesis of Cabbage by Regulating Stomatal Parameters in Salt-Stressed Soil

چکیده
Salinity is one of the main abiotic stresses, and stomatal conductance (gs) an important physiological index in plants that used to measure their responses salt stress, as closure leads lower yields. However, factors affect gs after biochar application saline soil remain unclear. To explore adaptation mechanisms facility vegetables under stress addition biochar, Chinese cabbage was selected for pot experiment this study. The plant Na+ K+ concentrations, water status, parameters were measured following treatments with different concentrations (25, 50, 100 mM) rates (0, 2, 4%). results showed induced stomata cabbage. Compared salt-stress treatment without significantly increased (20.29–128.79%). Moreover, treatment, open state maintained by sustaining osmotic adjustment, reducing abscisic acid (ABA) content, improving status. Na+/K+ ratio had most pronounced effect on (0.702). actual photochemical efficiency photosystem II (ΦPSII) electron transport rate (ETR) 0.75–3.41% 0.65–2.88%, respectively, application, which supported photosynthetic capacity yield formation. According current findings, can mitigate regulate opening, thereby photosynthesis overall Therefore, a promising method maintain productivity stress.

The identification of critical components in plant salt stress adaptation has greatly benefitted, in the last two decades, from fundamental discoveries in Arabidopsis and close model systems. Nevertheless, this approach has also highlighted a non-complete overlap between stress tolerance mechanisms in Arabidopsis and agricultural crops. The effect of 10 M salicylic acid (SA) on the counteracting of the NaCl (50, 100 and 150 mM)-induced deleterious effects on maize (Zea mays L.) cultivar was studied. Effects of SA on salt tolerance of maize were determined by measuring the growth parameters: shoot and root lengths, shoot and root fresh and dry weights and leaf area. The activity of ribulose 1,5bisphosphate carboxylase (Rubisco)...
