Biogenic Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using Terminalia chebula Retz. Leaf Extract and Evaluation of Biological Activities

Nanoparticles have been used in various fields of science and technology ranging from material to biotechnology. The formation nanoparticles has confirmed through UV-visible spectroscopy (at 420 nm) by the change color representing surface plasmon resonance. synthesis silver a biogenic method is novel approach due its cost-effective, eco-friendly, large-scale production possibilities. In present study, (TC-AgNPs) were successfully synthesized using Terminalia chebula Retz. (T. chebula) leaf extract. Characterization green was performed spectroscopy, Fourier transforms infrared (FTIR) X-ray diffraction (XRD). crystalline face-centred cubic property biosynthesized established XRD analysis. data gave average particle size 6.1 nm. functional groups such as -OH, C=O, =NH found responsible for reducing ions helping stabilize which analyzed FTIR spectroscopy. As possess diverse applications, TC-AgNPs investigated antioxidant, antibacterial, cytotoxic activity. results showed potential antioxidant (IC50=312.8 ± 2.28 µg/mL) antibacterial activities against four pathogenic bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus, Acinetobacter baumannii, Salmonella typhi, Escherichia coli. Also, exhibited moderate cytotoxicity (LC50= 477.53 0.684 brine shrimps nauplii dose-dependent manner.
