چکیده

Abstract This study analyzed the effects of implant design factors (diameter, length, and connection type) bone quality on long-term success implantation via finite element (FE) analysis, considering remodeling process. A total 36 cases three-dimensional FE model, with an complex located in mandibular section molar region, were considered. An analysis dental was implemented Abaqus UMAT subroutine. preload 32 N?cm average biting force 50 N applied during process as loading conditions. After process, a maximum 200 oblique direction. The stability peri-implant by measuring apparent density over time principal strain cancellous bone. differs depending host conditions features. initial condition greatly influenced final distribution surrounding implant. need for evaluation has increased under placing short-length narrow-diameter implants poor-quality bones.

Bone Quality Assessment for Dental Implants

Dental implants have become a predictable treatment option for restoring missing teeth. The purpose of tooth replacement with implants is to restore adequate function and esthetics without affecting adjacent hard and/or soft tissue structures. The use of dental implants in oral rehabilitation has currently been increasing since clinical studies with dental implant treatment have revealed succes...

Biomechanical evaluation of subcrestal dental implants with different bone anchorages.

This study evaluated the biomechanical influence of apical bone anchorage on a single subcrestal dental implant using three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA). Four different bone anchorage designs were simulated on a posterior maxillary segment using one implant with platform switching and internal Morse taper connection as follows: 2 mm subcrestal placement with (SW) or without (SO) th...

Long-term outcome of dental implants after maxillary augmentation with and without bone grafting.

BACKGROUND This study aims to evaluate the technique of sinus bone reformation, which consists of elevating the sinus membrane and placement the implant without bone graft, compared with the widely-used technique involving raising the maxillary sinus and grafting, using animal hydroxyapatite as the filler, while simultaneously fixing the implants. MATERIAL AND METHODS This is a retrospective ...
