Biopolymer?Templated Deposition of Ordered and Polymorph Titanium Dioxide Thin Films for Improved Surface?Enhanced Raman Scattering Sensitivity

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is an excellent candidate material for semiconductor metal oxide-based substrates surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). Biotemplated fabrication of TiO2 thin films with a 3D network promising route effectively transferring the morphology and ordering template into layer. The control over crystallinity remains challenge due to low thermal stability biopolymers. Here reported novel strategy cellulose nanofibril (CNF)-directed assembly TiO2/CNF tailored as SERS substrates. Polymorphous well-defined are obtained by combining atomic layer deposition annealing. A high enhancement factor 1.79 × 106 in terms oxide nanomaterial (SMON)-based from annealed thickness 10 nm fabricated on indium tin (ITO), when probed 4-mercaptobenzoic acid molecules. Common probes down can be detected these substrates, indicating superior sensitivity among SMON This improvement realized through cooperative modulation CNF crystalline state TiO2.
