Blind Estimation of Self-Synchronous Scrambler Using Orthogonal Complement Space in DSSS Systems

In a non-cooperative context, receiver has to estimate the communication parameters without any prior knowledge of transmitter, which is highly demanding. Estimating self-synchronous scrambler even more challenging because scrambling sequence affected by input sequence. This paper proposes an improved algorithm for blind estimation using orthogonal property bias condition received signals in direct spread spectrum (DSSS) systems. We first examine linear relation repetitive spreading code used DSSS system. Using obtained and basis complement space, we then acquire feedback polynomial candidates scrambler. Finally, calculating greatest common divisor candidates, correct polynomial. Through computer simulations, verify that proposed method achieves superior performance compared existing method. Furthermore, show practically acceptable computational complexity. For these reasons, it expected can be applied practical
