Bond behavior of carbon fabric reinforced cementitious matrix (FRCM) composites considering matrix impregnation

This paper presents an investigation on the bond behavior of carbon fabric-cementitious matrix interface within fabric reinforced cementitious (FRCM) composite. The embedded yarn shows a complicated due to stochastic and incomplete impregnation can be subdivided into outer (impregnated) inner (non-impregnated) parts. Pullout tests were carried out FRCM composite aiming at examining effect between matrix. test results show that pullout specimens with 30 mm length failed pure slippage yarn, while failure became partial rupture for longer lengths. impregnated filaments are estimated as about 30% total according image processing analysis results. Different slip relationships assumed evaluated parts based accuracy was validated through good agreement experimental finite element modeling.
