A bstract We study charged perturbations of the thermofield double state dual to a AdS black hole. model perturbation by massless shell in bulk. Unlike neutral case, all such shells bounce at definite radius, which can be behind horizon. show that standard “shock wave” calculation scrambling time indicates adding charge increases time. then give two arguments using suggest does not actually take longer when is added, but instead its onset delayed. also construct boundary four point function detects whether bounces inside
