چکیده
Perceptual decision making – the process of detecting and categorizing information has been studied extensively over last two decades. In this study, we aim to bridge gap between neural behavioral representations perceptual decision-making process. The characterization was investigated by evaluating duration signature processing stages. We further evaluated stages at level estimating drift rate non-decision time parameters. asked whether characterizations provided consistent results under different stimulus coherency levels spatial attention. Our statistical analysis revealed that, both representational levels, affected more factor. found that among stages, stage had highest role in performance Such shorter higher lead faster decision-making. Through our results, have shown components these were significantly associated. Moreover, gave about regions contributed overall demonstrate uncovering cognitive insights into • is a information. Different are needed accomplish brain. Uncovering Neural similar manner levels.

Convergence in a sequential two stages decision making process
We analyze a sequential decision making process, in which at each stepthe decision is made in two stages. In the rst stage a partially optimalaction is chosen, which allows the decision maker to learn how to improveit under the new environment. We show how inertia (cost of changing)may lead the process to converge to a routine where no further changesare made. We illustrate our scheme with some...

The model works with n dimensions, continuous choices and any integrate-to-threshold decision model. The model has a 300ms constant motor response time added. The maximum trial length for both the experiment and model is 800ms. The model performs similarly well using 4and 8-choice decisions. The monkey response at 0% coherence may indicate ‘guess’ formulation involving non-sensory mechanisms (S...
متن کاملThe Cognitive Process of Decision Making
Decision making is one of the basic cognitive processes of human behaviors by which a preferred option or a course of actions is chosen from among a set of alternatives based on certain criteria. Decision theories are widely applied in many disciplines encompassing cognitive informatics, computer science, management science, economics, sociology, psychology, political science, and statistics. A...

Speed-accuracy tradeoff (SAT) is an adaptive process balancing urgency and caution when making decisions. Computational cognitive theories, known as "evidence accumulation models", have explained SATs via a manipulation of the amount of evidence necessary to trigger response selection. New light has been shed on these processes by single-cell recordings from monkeys who were adjusting their SAT...
