Broadband Dual-Polarized Single-Layer Reflectarray Antenna With Independently Controllable 1-Bit Dual Beams

An independently controllable dual-beam reflectarray antenna is presented using a broadband dual-polarized single-layer 1 bit unit cell. The cell provides two-state phase compensation for two orthogonally linearly polarized waves. 180° reflective difference between the states achieved by tuning magnetic resonance of State 0 and electrical 1. With its resonances close to each other, has ± 20° over broad bandwidth 27.2–51.1 GHz. cross-polarization levels below ?30 dB ensure high isolation polarizations. Using proposed cell, fixed designed excited horn show ability controlling At 33 GHz, beams direct ?15° feeding horizontally vertically ports, respectively. 1.5 gain greater than 20% both proves that, incident waves, dual can be realized structure.
