Calcium chloride linked camel milk derived casein nanoparticles for the delivery of sorafenib in hepatocarcinoma cells

Sorafenib, a multikinase inhibitor used for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma, is limited by its low oral bioavailability. To overcome this drawback, we have developed novel camel milk casein-derived nanoparticles as drug delivery system. Camel casein not only biocompatible on administration but actually dietary protein pharmaceutical relevance. Casein because amphiphilic nature, self-assembling property, ability to show sustained release, and capability encapsulating both hydrophilic hydrophobic drugs. In study, loaded with sorafenib were characterized. Characterization was done dynamic light scattering (DLS), zeta potential analysis, scanning microscopy (SEM), FTIR. The content in nanoparticle drug-protein binding studies conducted UV spectroscopy. cytotoxicity cellular uptake efficiency performed HepG2 cell lines. It observed that cytotoxic effect more than free cells. This work suggests suitable molecule sorafenib. future, it may also be enhancing efficacy specific distribution other water-insoluble anticancer
