Calibration of Low-Resolution Thermal Imaging for Human Monitoring Applications

نویسندگان

چکیده

Thermal imaging has recently come to light measure high human body temperature (fever) in responses the global public health issues. This is normally achieved by very expensive high-resolution thermal cameras. Lately, there been a new commercial low-resolution sensor array (TSA) that gained growing interest indoor monitoring applications due their low-cost and privacy-preserving claims. However, not sufficient independent empirical calibration of TSA images for human-centred applications. letter provides low- techniques terms visible outputs, accuracy values, stability. Besides, this assesses claimed feature experimentally validating possibility revoking identity from TSA’s output. Thus, aims understand better advantages, limitations, future trends using

High-Resolution Imaging for Environmental Monitoring Applications

The PermaSense project strives to collect long-term geophysical data for permafrost research in Switzerland. By now, we have successfully established two installations at Jungfraujoch and Matterhorn measuring temperature profiles, crack dilatation, pressures and conductivity in the alpine extremes at 3.500m a.s.l. The data is sampled continuously and relayed to a datacenter in real-time with lo...

Applications of gold nanoparticles for medical imaging

Background & Aim: Molecular imaging enables us to non-invasively visualize tissue microstructures and lesion characterization, allowing accurate diagnosis of diseases at early stages. A successful molecular imaging requires a nontoxic contrast agent with high sensitivity. Nowadays, a wide range of nanoparticles have been developed as contrast agents for medical imaging modalities. Here, we revi...

High-resolution thermal inertia derived from the Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS): Thermal model and applications

[1] Thermal inertia values at 100 m per pixel are determined using nighttime temperature data from the Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS) on the Mars Odyssey spacecraft, producing the highest-resolution thermal inertia data set to date. THEMIS thermal inertia values have an overall accuracy of 20%, a precision of 10–15%, and are consistent with both Thermal Emission Spectrometer orbital a...

OPTIMIZATION-BASED MONITORING-SUPPORTED CALIBRATION OF A THERMAL PERFORMANCE SIMULATION MODEL

Building performance simulation is being increasingly deployed beyond the building design phase to support efficient building operation. Specifically, the predictive feature of the simulation-assisted building systems control strategy provides distinct advantages in view of building systems with high latency and inertia. Such advantages can be exploited only if model predictions can be relied u...

Vicarious calibration of the moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer airborne simulator thermal-infrared channels.

We made an experimental vicarious calibration of the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Airborne Simulator (MAS) thermal infrared (TIR) channel data acquired in the field campaign near Mono Lake, Calif. on 10 March 1998 to demonstrate the advantage of using high-elevation sites in dry atmospheric conditions for vicarious calibration. With three lake-surface sites and one snow...
