Cancer Cell-Specific Autophagy Activation Using Phosphorus-Based Nanoplatform as Anabolism Activator

چکیده

Autophagy suppresses tumorigenesis by restoring a favorable energy balance. Activation of autophagic pathways has therefore sparked great interest as target for cancer therapy. However, the targets available autophagy activators are nonexclusively involved in cells, thus causing cytotoxicity noncancerous tissues. Stimulation anabolism and ensuing decreased levels cells central to tumor-selective induction. Herein, we present black phosphorus quantum dots (BPQDs) with red blood cell membranes (RBCMs) cloaking (BPQDs@RBCMs) tumor tumor-specific activation. The selective degradation BPQDs@RBCMs releasing phosphate microenvironment initiates falling levels. In vivo assessments confirm that treatment effectively reduces overall burden alters metabolite profiles tumor. Overall, this study underlines potential utility induction therapeutics.

Autophagy as a cell-repair mechanism: activation of chaperone-mediated autophagy during oxidative stress.

Proper removal of oxidized proteins is an important determinant of success when evaluating the ability of cells to handle oxidative stress. The ubiquitin/proteasome system has been considered the main responsible mechanism for the removal of oxidized proteins, as it can discriminate between normal and altered proteins, and selectively target the latter ones for degradation. A possible role for ...

Autophagy, cell death, and cancer

Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved intracellular catabolic process that is used by all cells to degrade dysfunctional or unnecessary cytoplasmic components through delivery to the lysosome. Increasing evidence reveals that autophagic dysfunction is associated with human diseases, such as cancer. Paradoxically, although autophagy is well recognized as a cell survival process that promotes ...

Plasmonic/Magnetic Multifunctional nanoplatform for Cancer Theranostics

A multifunctional magneto-plasmonic CoFe2O4@Au core-shell nanoparticle was developed by iterative-seeding based method. This nanocargo consists of a cobalt ferrite kernel as a core (Nk) and multiple layers of gold as a functionalizable active stratum, (named as Nk@A after fifth iteration). Nk@A helps in augmenting the physiological stability and enhancing surface plasmon resonance (SPR) propert...

Cell-mediated autophagy promotes cancer cell survival.

Immune effector cells integrate signals that define the nature and magnitude of the subsequent response. Experimental measures for immune cell-mediated lysis of tumors or virally infected targets rely on average responses of permeability or apoptotic changes within a population of targets. Here, we examined individual target cells following interaction with lymphoid effectors. We found that hum...
