Canine brucellosis: A bibliometric analysis based on scopus and web of science databases

Brucellosis is a zoonotic infection that poses threat to both human and animal health. The aim of this study investigate the publication trends in research on canine brucellosis determine changes general characteristics disease throughout history using bibliometric analysis. For reason, we conducted analysis 316 articles published Scopus Web Science (WoS) databases from 1980 2022. was performed RStudio-Bibliometrix package Biblioshiny application. publications included contributions total 1241 authors. In addition, 804 keywords plus 398 author were identified. earliest among top 10 most cited dates back 1985, while recent one 2011. majority years 2012 (n=17) 2014 (n=17). United States America (USA) (n=55), Brazil (n=40), Argentina (n=25) identified as countries with highest number articles. Notably, Switzerland ranked first terms average citations per article category (n=55.50), despite only two being attributed country. Keid L. (n=15), Lucero N. (n=14), Carmichael (n=13), Kim J. (n=13) emerged prolific contributors. obtained (TC=408). initial publication, predominantly characterized by such "brucellosis," "infection," "abortus," "Brucella canis". However, related diagnosis treatment, "diagnosis," "serodiagnosis," "vaccine," "agar gel," gained significance became increasingly relevant. themes sub-themes through can provide basis for further investigation scientific inquiry, thus contributing development new questions opportunities future studies.
