Carbon nitride derived nitrogen-doped carbon nanosheets for high-rate lithium-ion storage

Carbonaceous materials are practical anodes for lithium-ion batteries. Commercial graphite anode has a limited theoretical capacity of 372 mAh g−1. Amorphous carbon could break the limitation anode, while nitrogen doping plays critical role in effectively enhancing reversible capacities and rate capability carbonaceous anodes. Herein, we propose new strategy synthesizing nitrogen-doped from graphitic nitride. Zinc-assisted thermal treatment nitride enables carbonization successful preparation highly carbon.
