چکیده

Of late, the automobiles of all categories are massively increasing which aggravates dependency on fossil fuel thus, accessibility petro-fuel decreases relentlessly. Under these circumstances, investigations taking new dimensions to find alternative, renewable with cost-effective exclusively biofuels. However, a newer approach has been attempted for production biodiesel from wild stuff Spirulina algae is explored directly in its aquatic systems natural environment. The chemical extraction process was biomass via pre-treatment obtaining promising lipid content then; algal oil (lipid) subjected through sequential transesterification reactions. obtained measured as 94.65% produced 0.920kg extracted out 1.6kg stipulated duration time (2.50hr) taken attaining maximum temperature. Further, evaluated distinctive properties and outcomes were compared ASTM standard specifications. All results appeared be within standards limit thereby, methodical analysis done performance emission parameters interacting experimental (DI) diesel engine test-rig configured variable injection pressure 210, 220 & 230 respectively. blending ratio gasoline (AB10 AB 20v/v) prepared based volume correlated petro-diesel. physico-chemical like color, odour, viscosity, density, total acid number, initial boiling point, flash calorific value, cetane number etc. found significant when petro-fuel. Correspondingly, interactive pour cloud carbon residue, sulfur, ash, water contents substantial observed characteristics such hydrocarbon (HC), monoxide (CO), oxides nitrogen (NOX) respectively engine-algal interactions. Whereas, slight increase than petro-diesel respect sulfur oxide (SOX) smoke opacity also recorded. marginal Brake specific consumption (BSFC) thermal efficiency (BTE) noticed brake power (BP) slightly lower In conclusion, protocol producing maxima techno-economically feasible this potential can recommended current applications without any alterations.

Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine with Cottonseed Oil Plus Diesel Oil Blends

aIn the present study a 4-stroke 5hp diesel engine was tested with Diesel oil plus cottonseed oil blends. The blends in different proportions (10 to 50 percent by volume) were tested at constant speed of 1500 rpm. The said engine is operated at different loads and characteristics like Brake power, Brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption etc. Engine performance for blends resulted in...

Performance and Emissions of a Tractor engine operating on biodiesel-diesel blends with EGR

The influences of different diesel/biodiesel blends and EGR rate on brake specific fuel consumption (BSFC), exhaust gas temperature, NO, HC, CO emissions, are studied and demonstrated. In this paper a four stroke direct injection, water cooled, diesel engine was used. Biodiesel either in neat form or as a blend with diesel fuel is extensively investigated to solve the twin problem of reduction ...

Diesel Engine Performance and Exhaust Emissions Using Cottonseed Oil Biodiesel

Non-road diesel engines are significant contributors to air pollution in the United States (USEPA, 2004). These engines emit particulate matter (PM), nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and other pollutants. The Clean Air Non-road Diesel Rule was put in place to reduce emission levels from agricultural, construction, and industrial diesel powered equipment. This rule calls for a reduct...

Performance, Emission, Energy, and Exergy Analysis of a C.I. Engine Using Mahua Biodiesel Blends with Diesel

This paper presents an experimental investigation on a four-stroke single cylinder diesel engine fuelled with the blends of Mahua oil methyl ester (MOME) and diesel. The performance emission, energy, and exergy analysis has been carried out in B20 (mixture of 80% diesel by volume with 20% MOME). From energy analysis, it was observed that the fuel energy input as well as energy carried away by e...
