چکیده
Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) causes many skin infections such as impetigo, infected abrasions, cellulitis, folliculitis, subcutaneous abscesses, ulcers and sores. In this study, it was aimed to develop a nanoformulation of chlorogenic acid that efficient against S. aureus. context, ultrasonic emulsification method used for production the (CA) nanoemulsion formulation characterized in detailed. addition, kinetic thermodynamic stability CA examined. Finally, broth microdilution determine antibacterial activity formulation. It determined average droplet size 120.4 ± 6.39 nm, polydispersity index 0.180 0.018, zeta potential value -11.5± 1.15 mV. As result stress tests formulation, observed there no precipitation or any phase separation. Moreover, vitro release study showed 75.49% after 48 hours. The results revealed (95% inhibition) (ATCC 25923). result, is thought an effective, nano sized controlled system based candidate may be topical treatment causing infection.

15 صفحه اولThe therapeutic effect of chlorogenic acid against Staphylococcus aureus infection through sortase A inhibition
The emergence and wide spread of multi-drug resistant Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) requires the development of new therapeutic agents with alternative modes of action. Anti-virulence strategies are hoped to meet that need. Sortase A (SrtA) has attracted great interest as a potential drug target to treat infections caused by S. aureus, as many of the surface proteins displayed by SrtA funct...

Background: Food borne pathogens are of the main concerns of food producers and consumers and Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus create a lot of problems worldwide. The aim of this study was to evaluate antibacterial effects of monolaurin, sorbic acid and potassium sorbate on S. aureus and E. coli at different pH values and NaCl concentrations. Methods: Micro-well dilution assay was us...

BACKGROUND Staphylococcus aureus, particularly methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), is an important cause of pyogenic skin and soft tissue infections (SSTIs). The aim of present study is to investigate the molecular characteristic of Staphylococcus aureus isolates isolated from the pus samples from the patients with purulent skin and soft tissue infections in Wenzhou, China. METHODS Betwee...
