Circular stripe domains and cone state vortices in disk-shaped exchange coupled magnetic heterostructures

Abstract Vertically stacked exchange coupled magnetic heterostructures of cylindrical geometry can host complex noncolinear magnetization patterns. By tuning the interlayer coupling between a layer accommodating vortex state and an out-of-plane magnetized layer, one efficiently realize new topological chiral textures such as cone vortices circular stripe domains. We study how number stripes be controlled by both sample geometrical parameters. varying parameters, continuous phase transition homogeneous state, vortex, domains, imprinted takes place, which is analysed full scale micromagnetic simulations. The analytical description provides intuitive pictures in each these phases. possibility to switching different states allows for engineering with possible applications spintronic devices.
