چکیده
ObjectiveTo elucidate the antigenic potential of dormancy-associated antigens Rv2659c and Rv3128c Mycobacterium tuberculosis by examining persistence specific IgG IgA memory B cells (MBCs) among patients with active (TB), household contacts latent (LTBI), an endemic healthy control group.MethodsFresh peripheral blood mononuclear from three study groups were used to enumerate numbers MBCs recombinant protein ELISpot assay. The composition MBC subsets IgA+ + was analyzed flow cytometry.ResultsThe number antigen significantly higher in LTBI group than TB group. In contrast, no significant difference found or against Rv3128c. that IgG+ classical subset group.ConclusionThe results indicated induced response individuals TB, formed a major portion subset. This new knowledge will be beneficial for development novel vaccines their TB.

Evaluation and Comparison of Body Mass Index and Albumin Level in Patients with Active Tuberculosis and Latent Tuberculosis Infection
Introduction: Limited data are available on the relationship between nutritional status and tuberculosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the body mass index (BMI) and serum albumin level in patients with active tuberculosis (ATB) and latent tuberculosis (LTB). Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 17 patients newly diagnosed with pulmonary TB who we...
متن کاملDormancy antigens as biomarkers of latent tuberculosis infection
Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) is a major microbial pathogen ESAT-6 and CFP-10. Interestingly, Rv2626cwas found to produce signifthat threatens global health. The WHO has estimated about 9 million new tuberculosis (TB) cases and around 1.5 million deaths due to TB in the year 2013 (World Health Organization, 2014). In MTB-infected individuals, bacteria may exist in a dormant state for lengthy...
متن کاملIL-10 and IL-12 Production in Response to Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Total Lipid Antigens in Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis
Background: Mycobacterium tuberculosis lipid antigens take part in pathogenicity of the bacterium but the response of monocytes/macrophages to these antigens in tubercu-losis is not well known. Objective: The aim of current investigation was to study the M. tuberculosis lipid antigens in tuberculosis pathogenesis. Methods: In the present study M. tuberculosis lipid antigens were extracted. Mono...
متن کاملStrong antibody responses to Mycobacterium tuberculosis PE-PGRS62 protein are associated with latent and active tuberculosis.
Mycobacterium tuberculosis has a unique family of PE-PGRS proteins with conserved N-terminal domains (PE) containing site-specific proline-glutamine residues and polymorphic GC-rich repetitive sequences (PGRS). Tuberculosis (TB) patients produce antibodies against some such proteins, but it is not clear whether these responses correlate with disease. Clinical groups with different mycobacterium...
متن کاملIFN-γ and IL-2 Responses to Recombinant AlaDH against ESAT-6/CFP-10 Fusion Antigens in the Diagnosis of Latent versus Active Tuberculosis Infection
Background: Discriminating latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) from active TBI may be challenging. The objective of this study was to produce the recombinant L-alanine dehydrogenase (AlaDH) antigen and evaluate individuals with LTBI, those with active TBI, and uninfected individuals by enzyme-linked immunospot assay (ELISPOT) in order to distinguish LTBI from active TBI.Methods: This explorato...
