چکیده
Background: Episiotomy procedure enlarges the vaginal outlet to facilitate childbirth. Polyglactin 910 fast-absorbing sutures are widely used for repair of episiotomy because their rapid absorption and less inflammatory response. This study was designed subjective assessment perineal pain post-episiotomy repair, with Trusynth Fast® Vicryl Rapide® polyglactin sutures. Method: a single-blind, randomized, prospective conducted between January 7, 2021 July 14, across two centers in India. Primiparous or multiparous women (18—40 years), who required during delivery were included, either Fast® (n=47) or Rapide® (n=49) suture repair. The primary endpoint, assessed visual analogue scale at all follow-up visits. secondary endpoints, quantity local anesthesia, number used, time episiotomy, intraoperative handling, analgesics early late wound complications, re-suturing, complete healing, presence residual sutures, return sexual activity, dyspareunia, adverse events also recorded. Results: showed no significant difference groups any visit. A statistically (p<0.05) total score healing on day 2 (0.13±0.34 versus 0.35±0.56) swelling (8.51 versusversus 28.57%) noted group. Non-significant observed regarding analgesics, puerperal fever, infection, dehiscence, hematoma, urinary incontinence, activity dyspareunia. Conclusion: is clinically equivalent can be minimal risk complications. Clinical Trials Registry India Registration: CTRI/2020/12/029925; Registered December 18, 2020

METHOD Seventy-one patients with 80 oral wounds and 42 patients with 42 scalp wounds closed with IRPG were evaluated on the day of surgery, then one, seven, 14, 28 and 90 days following surgery. متن کاملEpisiotomy repair: Vicryl versus Vicryl rapide.
Women suffer a significant degree of perineal morbidity in the postpartum period. For some, it can be significant and interfere with daily activities. Although there seems to be no doubt that polyglycolic acid derivatives are superior to non absorbable sutures with regard to wound healing, problems still occur with their use. In this study a relatively new product, Vicryl rapide, was compared w...
متن کاملA prospective randomized comparative study of vicryl rapide versus chromic catgut for episiotomy repair.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES A significant number of women experience perineal trauma following vaginal deliveries and they require stitches. This may result in perineal pain, dyspareunia and faulty healing. The type of suture material which is used, will influence these factors. This study was conducted to compare the impact of two absorbable suture materials which were used for episiotomy repair...

The main aim of this double blind randomized clinical trial was to determine and compare the results and complications of using Catgut chromic (biologic ) and Vicryl rapide (sytlthetic) as a suture material in episitomy repair. 46 primiparus women were entered in this study randomly. Episiotomy of 2/ women were rep aired by Vicryl rapide and 25 by Catgut chromic. These two groups were mat...

Episiotomy, the incision of the perineum during the last part of the second stage of labour or delivery is still considered a controversial procedure. Long-term complications after episiotomy repair are common. A large proportion of women suffer short-term perineal pain and up to 20% have longer-term problems (e.g. dyspareunia).1 Other complications involve the removal of suture material, exten...
