Cloud-Cluster Architecture for Detection in Intermittently Connected Sensor Networks

چکیده
We consider a centralized detection problem where sensors experience noisy measurements and intermittent connectivity to fusion center. The collaborate locally within predefined sensor clusters fuse their data reach common local estimate of the detected event in each cluster. cluster is depends on available communication opportunities Upon receiving estimates from all connected center fuses received make final determination regarding occurrence across deployment area. refer this hybrid scheme as cloud-cluster architecture. propose method for optimizing decision rule analyzing expected performance resulting our scheme. Our tractable addresses high computational complexity caused by heterogeneous sensors’ clusters’ quality, heterogeneity opportunities, non-convexity loss function. analysis shows that clustering provides resilience noise case low probability with cloud. For larger clusters, steep improvement possible even using

Campus++: A publish-subscribe architecture for intermittently connected 802.15.4 networks
The aim of this extended abstract is to present Campus++, a location-based publish-subscribe system for intermittently connected delay tolerant networks, exploiting IEEE 802.15.4 devices, and taking into due account the severe constraints deriving from their physical characteristics. We describe our proposed architectural model and how we implemented our solution in a real test-bed. We point ou...
متن کاملProbabilistic Routing Protocol for Intermittently Connected Networks
This document is a product of the Delay Tolerant Networking Research Group and has been reviewed by that group. No objections to its publication as an RFC were raised. This document defines PRoPHET, a Probabilistic Routing Protocol using History of Encounters and Transitivity. PRoPHET is a variant of the epidemic routing protocol for intermittently connected networks that operates by pruning th...
متن کاملIC-Cloud: Computation Offloading to an Intermittently-Connected Cloud
Offloading computation-intensive components of mobile applications to the cloud is of great potential to speedup the execution and reduce the energy consumption for mobile devices. The gain from computation offloading is typically counterbalanced by communication costs and delays. It is, therefore, important to undertake offloading decisions based on future prediction of Internet access timelin...
متن کاملRouting in Quasi-deterministic Intermittently Connected Networks
Some of the recent applications using wireless communications (wildlife monitoring, inter-vehicles communication, battlefield communication,...) are characterized by challenging network scenarios. Most of the time there is not a complete path from a source to a destination (because the network is sparse), or such a path is highly unstable and may change or break while being discovered (because ...
متن کاملAutonomic Information Diffusion in Intermittently Connected Networks
In this work, we introduce a framework for designing autonomic information diffusion mechanisms in intermittently connected wireless networks. Our approach is based on the use of techniques and tools drawn from evolutionary computing research, which enable to embed evolutionary features in epidemic-style forwarding mechanisms. In this way, it is possible to build a system in which information d...
