چکیده
The physicochemical parameters and heavy metals concentration in the groundwater of coastal region Lasbela, Baluchistan were investigated. Cations anions determined through ion chromatography. levels eight (Cr, Cd, Pb, Zn, Fe, Cu, Mn) analyzed analytical procedures atomic absorption spectrophotometry. cations present descending order magnesium > sodium calcium potassium as bicarbonate sulfate chloride. Two (bicarbonate total dissolved solids) above other indices below threshold limits WHO. Positive correlations pH electrical conductivity observed with anions. significant positive correlation between (0.427) indicated dissolution carbonate rocks. (Cu, Mn, Cr, Ni) ranged from 0.1 to 0.4, 0.02 0.09, 0.04 0.9, 0.03 0.5, 0.01 0.91, 0.05 1.30, 0.60, 0.90 mg/L. highest Pb (0.21 mg/L) Cd (0.16 approximately 20 50 times higher than permissible Hierarchical cluster analysis classified twelve into four clusters seven clusters. Principal component extracted latent components for properties eigenvalues greater 1.0 that had loads fluoride, iron, conductivity, sodium, cadmium, sulfate. Major pollutants accounted by PC 1, main factors affected water quality Cu. Fe a modest impact on this region. From findings, it can be concluded has metals, which makes unfit drinking purposes.

Study of evaluation of groundwater in Gadilam basin using hydrogeochemical and isotope data.
Gadilam river basin has gained its importance due to the presence of Neyveli Lignite open cast mines and other industrial complexes. It is also due to extensive depressurization of Cuddalore aquifer, and bore wells for New Veeranam Scheme are constructed downstream of the basin. Geochemical indicators of groundwater were used to identify the chemical processes that control hydrogeochemistry. Ch...

Most local people in the agricultural areas of Sistan and Baluchestan Province (Iran), generally consume shallow groundwater from farm wells. This study aimed to assess the water quality and health risk potentially of As, Pb, Cr and Ni for drinking purposes in Zarabad aquifer. Also the geochemical processes controlling chemistry of Zarabad aquifer were studied. Piper diagram shows two major hyd...
متن کاملGroundwater Quality Zoning for Agricultural and Drinking Usage Using Water Quality Index and Geostatistics Techniques in Semnan Watershed
Determination of water quality is an essential issue in water resources management and its monitoring and zoning should be considered as an important principle in planning. In this study, in order to investigate the quality of groundwater resources (springs, wells and qanats) in Semnan watershed, first, the water quality index for drinking and agricultural purposes was obtained by means of meas...
متن کاملIdentification of the Hydrogeochemical Processes in Groundwater Using Classic Integrated Geochemical Methods and Geostatistical Techniques, in Amol-Babol Plain, Iran
Hydrogeochemical investigations had been carried out at the Amol-Babol Plain in the north of Iran. Geochemical processes and factors controlling the groundwater chemistry are identified based on the combination of classic geochemical methods with geographic information system (GIS) and geostatistical techniques. The results of the ionic ratios and Gibbs plots show that water rock interaction me...
متن کاملHydrogeochemical investigations and groundwater quality assessment of Torbat-Zaveh plain, Khorasan Razavi, Iran.
Hydrogeochemical investigations of groundwater in Torbat-Zaveh plain have been carried out to assess the water quality for drinking and irrigation purposes. In this study, 190 groundwater samples were collected and analyzed for physicochemical parameters and major ion concentrations. The abundance of major cations and anions was in the following order: Na(+) > Mg(2+) > Ca(2+) > K(+), and Cl(-) ...
