Codimension 1 distributions on three dimensional hypersurfaces

چکیده

We show that codimension 1 distributions with at most isolated singularities on threefold hypersurfaces Xd ⊂ P4 of degree d provide interesting examples stable rank 2 reflexive sheaves. When ≤ 5, these sheaves can be regarded as smooth points within an irreducible component the moduli space Our second goal goes in reverse direction: we start from a well-known family locally free and local complete intersection type Xd.

On Codimension Two Subvarieties in Hypersurfaces

We show that for a smooth hypersurface X ⊂ P of degree at least 2, there exist arithmetically Cohen-Macaulay (ACM) codimension two subvarieties Y ⊂ X which are not an intersection X ∩ S for a codimension two subvariety S ⊂ P. We also show there exist Y ⊂ X as above for which the normal bundle sequence for the inclusion Y ⊂ X ⊂ P does not split. Dedicated to Spencer Bloch

Elliptic Structures on Weighted Three-dimensional Fano Hypersurfaces

We classify birational maps into elliptic fibrations of a general quasismooth hypersurface in P(1, a1, a2, a3, a4) of degree ∑ 4 i=1 ai that has terminal singularities.

Singular Levi-flat Hypersurfaces and Codimension One Foliations

We study Levi-flat real analytic hypersurfaces with singularities. We prove that the Levi foliation on the regular part of the hypersurface can be holomorphically extended, in a suitable sense, to neighbourhoods of singular

Effect of Abutment Angulation and Material on Stress and Strain Distributions in Premaxillary Bone: A Three-Dimensional Finite Element Analysis

Background and Aim: Dental implants with angled abutments are often inserted in the anterior maxillary region due to the status of the residual ridge and aesthetic considerations. The purpose of this study was to assess stress and strain distributions in the premaxillary bone around dental implants by means of finite element analysis (FEA). Materials and Methods: Four three-dimensional (3D) fi...
