چکیده
The authors study the structure of four-atom complexes which can be formed in collisions ultracold molecules, demonstrating that couplings between internal states large enough to increase their lifetime beyond semiclassical estimates. They consider interplay complex lifetime, photon absorption rate from trapping laser, and secondary inelastic with remaining molecules show it lead vastly different scenarios loss dynamics.

Collisional dynamics of ultracold OH molecules in an electrostatic field
Ultracold collisions of polar OH molecules are considered in the presence of an electrostatic field. The field exerts a strong influence on both elastic and state-changing inelastic collision rate constants, leading to clear experimental signatures that should help disentangle the theory of cold molecule collisions. Based on the collision rates, we discuss the prospects for evaporative cooling ...

متن کاملCollisional quenching of internally excited atoms and molecules at cold and ultracold temperatures
Quantum mechanical calculations of collisional quenching cross sections and rate coefficients for various internally excited atoms and molecules at cold and ultracold temperatures are presented. The efficiencies of relaxation for vibrationally, rotationally, and electronically excited states are given and in each case the dominant decay mechanisms are discussed.
متن کاملGiant formation rates of ultracold molecules via Feshbach-optimized photoassociation.
Ultracold molecules offer a broad variety of applications, ranging from metrology to quantum computing. However, forming "real" ultracold molecules, i.e., in deeply bound levels, is a very difficult proposition. Here, we show how photoassociation in the vicinity of a Feshbach resonance enhances molecular formation rates by several orders of magnitude. We illustrate this effect in heteronuclear ...
متن کاملDiltiazem inhibition of cytochrome P-450 3A activity is due to metabolite intermediate complex formation.
Diltiazem (DTZ) N-demethylation occurs by cytochrome P-450 (CYP) 3A based on the following observations: 1) a single enzyme Michaelis-Menten model of metabolite formation, 2) high correlations of DTZ N-demethylation activity to other CYP3A activities, 3) inhibition of DTZ N-demethylation activity by triacetyloleandomycin, and 4) DTZ N-demethylation activity by expressed CYP3A enzymes only. The ...
