Colorimeter design for dry food-products inspection using TCS3200 sensor and Arduino Mega-2560

This report describes the successful construction of a Colorimeter CK20.1 prototype using TCS3200 sensor based on Arduino Mega-2560 microcontroller for solid foodstuffs inspection. The sample color exposed is presented in RGB form. In this experiment, commercial colorimeter (ColorFlex EZ Spectrophotometer, with output, L*a*b* form) was applied as validator quality performance reading green beans, wheat flour, palm sugar, ground coffee, and cocoa powder. Data were analyzed mean comparison t-test or Mann-Whitney normally not distributed data, respectively. Before data analysis, provided by transformed to template available from colormine.org vice versa ColorFlex EZ. results showed that component measurement Color FlexEZ significantly different (p<0.05) all observed; however, produced each likely very similar visually. Further development CK2.1 being done provide cheap practical detector.
