COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE OLDEST INDOOR MARKETS IN ROSTOV-ON-DON

This paper examines the historical emergence of oldest markets: Nakhichevan Covered Market on Square (1914) and Old Bazaar (1893), reveals their architectural, artistic design features. Reconstruction, restoration preservation objects in modern urban conditions are investigated, new factual data obtained. The purpose study is to review compare covered markets Rostov-on-Don Nakhichevan-on-Don. Each object was analyzed from point view its location structure fabric, functional planning solutions, features, as well architectural cultural value preserved present day. As a result conducted research, it revealed that both have similar historically established locations market formations emerging structure, solutions.
