Comparative Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Pig Farming Using Tier Inventories
نویسندگان
چکیده
Although pig meat accounts for nearly half of total production in Europe, less attention has been focused on the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions farming. The aim this study was to assess and compare impact livestock GHG during period 2015–2020 major European countries, including Greece, using different computational approaches (Tier 1, Tier 2, Gleam-i software v. 2.0 developed by FAO, Rome, Italy). A semi-extensive farm also used as a small-scale scenario. ranking countries related not affected applied methodology. Spain had highest due higher number farming animals. noted numeric differences estimations can be attributed elaborated equational approach that 2 methodology followed, considering many parameters. Additionally, lower emissions/fewer animal compared average intensive Greek territory. 1 revealed breeding animals produces more emissions, contrary which showed fattening pigs is responsible majority emissions. Therefore, specific categories could targeted (i.e., gilts) specialized manner apart from general strategies improvement).

Managing Greenhouse Gas Emissions for Airport Inventories: An Overview
For some years now, problems relating to gas emissions that affect climate and result from human activities have assumed a global dimension of large importance. The climate is, indeed, influenced by the concentrations of some pollutants in the atmosphere; these pollutants trap the long wave radiation emitted by the Earth and alter the energy balance, causing an accentuation of the natural green...

Livestock is a vital source of methane and nitrous oxide gas which are considered as hazardous greenhouse gas (GHG) causing global warming. This study was conducted to assess GHG emissions from different livestock categories of different (small, medium, large) dairy farming in Bangladesh by using IPCC guideline 2006 and CIGR 2002. The emission rate of CH4, N2O (mainly emits from manure) is incr...

متن کاملEvaluating greenhouse gas emissions inventories for agricultural burning using satellite observations of active fires.
Fires in agricultural ecosystems emit greenhouse gases and aerosols that influence climate on multiple spatial and temporal scales. Annex 1 countries of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), many of which ratified the Kyoto Protocol, are required to report emissions of CH4 and N2O from these fires annually. In this study, we evaluated several aspects of this report...
متن کاملEstimating Greenhouse Gas Emissions using Computational Intelligence
This work proposes a Neuro-Fuzzy Intelligent System – ANFIS (Adaptive Network based Fuzzy Inference System) for the annual forecast of greenhouse gases emissions (GHG) into the atmosphere. The purpose of this work is to apply a Neuro-Fuzzy System for annual GHG forecasting based on existing emissions data including the last 37 years in Brazil. Such emissions concern tCO2 (tons of carbon dioxide...
