Comparison of cross-subject EEG emotion recognition algorithms in the BCI Controlled Robot Contest in World Robot Contest 2021
نویسندگان
چکیده
Electroencephalogram (EEG) data depict various emotional states and reflect brain activity. There has been increasing interest in EEG emotion recognition brain–computer interface systems (BCIs). In the World Robot Contest (WRC), BCI Controlled successfully staged an technology competition. Three types of emotions (happy, sad, neutral) are modeled using signals. this study, 5 methods employed by different teams compared. The results reveal that classical machine learning approaches deep perform similarly offline recognition, whereas better online cross-subject decoding.

The Mini Grand Challenge outdoor robot design contest was developed at the Penn State Abington campus to promote advances in robot education and technology. Partly inspired by the DARPA Grand Challenge, ground robots must navigate unmarked pathways on a suburban college campus and reach waypoint goals. Robots must also interact and entertain spectators during travel along the designated route. ...

متن کاملExploring EEG Features in Cross-Subject Emotion Recognition
Recognizing cross-subject emotions based on brain imaging data, e.g., EEG, has always been difficult due to the poor generalizability of features across subjects. Thus, systematically exploring the ability of different EEG features to identify emotional information across subjects is crucial. Prior related work has explored this question based only on one or two kinds of features, and different...

what miller wants is a theatre of heightened consciousness. he speaks of two passions in a man, the passion to "feel" and the passion "know". he belives that we can have more of the latter. he says: drama is akin to the other inventions of man in that it ought to help us know more and not merely to spend our feelings. the writing of the crucible shows us that he is trying to give more heightene...
