چکیده
TOPIC: Lung Cancer TYPE: Original Investigations PURPOSE: The goal of this study is comparison outcome non-intubated Uniportal Video-assisted Thoracoscopic segmentectomy or wedge resection versus intubated in Patients with ASA III and IV pulmonary nodule. METHODS: We compared retrospectively the postoperative recovery consecutively 88 patients video-assisted thoracoscopic resection(NI-UVATS group) VATS (VATS high risk relatively poor lung function (FEV1 < 1,1 Lit DLCO 45%). NI-UVATS group 19 UVATS 38 underwent Wedge Resection. RESULTS: This has been shown a lower anaesthesia operation time as well faster discharge complications group. mean age was 71.7 years 68,3 comorbidities were balanced. In wasn't required conversion to VATS. No mortality encountered either hospital acquired pneumonia occurred 4 1 patient group. The stay shorter (P<0.05) used analgesics sedatives (P<0.05). intraoperative SpO2 SpCO2 higher (P< 0.01) but values similar both groups (P<0,05). CONCLUSIONS: perioperative outcomes for are comparable even safer under technique. However, further multicenter randomised prospective studies needed standardising NI-UVATS. CLINICAL IMPLICATIONS: Non-intubated could be safe standard approach More investigation multi center necessary. DISCLOSURES: relevant relationships by Hamidreza Mahoozi, source=Web Response

Uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic sleeve resection.
With continually growing interest in video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) sleeve procedures in the international community, mastery of uniportal VATS sleeve resections is still a complex issue for surgeons. Several articles published recently have shown that VATS sleeve procedures can be performed safely (1-3). In this article the technique of a complex uniportal VATS sleeve resection is...
متن کاملUniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic pneumonectomy.
Video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) was introduced nearly 2 decades ago and has experienced an exponential increase for lung cancer treatment. A pneumonectomy can be performed by video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery and the lung usually fits through the incision as usually used for VATS lobectomy. The most common approach for pneumonectomy is undertaken with 3 or 4 incisions, including ...

Thymectomy is the treatment for thymoma or Myasthenia Gravis patients. With the development of thoracoscopic surgical instruments and techniques in recent years, single port video assisted thoracoscopic thymectomy is increasingly practiced for such patients. Although single port thymectomy is feasible and may be preferable, there is a lack of detailed step-by-step procedures outlined in the lit...

OBJECTIVE The objective of the current study was to evaluate the feasibility and safety of nonintubated uniportal video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) for the management of primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP). METHODS From November 2011 to June 2013, 32 consecutive patients with PSP were treated by nonintubated uniportal thoracoscopic bullectomy using epidural anaesthesia and sedati...
