Comparison of Selected Methods for the Stator Winding Condition Monitoring of a PMSM Using the Stator Phase Currents

Stator winding faults are one of the most common permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs), and searching for methods to efficiently detect this type fault at an early stage damage is still ongoing, important topic. This paper deals with selected detecting stator (short-circuits) a motor, which based on analysis phase current signal. These were experimentally verified their effectiveness was carefully compared. The article presents results experimental studies obtained from spectral current, envelope, discrete wavelet transform. original indicators (FIs) observation symptoms distinguished using aforementioned methods, clearly show symptom sensitive incipient PMSMs.
