Compression and Three-Point Bending Analyzes of Aerospace Sandwich Composites produced with Polymeric Core Materials with ANSYS

Honeycomb materials are widely used in aircraft structures. However, these structures have disadvantages longitudinal compression forces. While aluminum is generally as the face material sandwich composites structures, Nomex honeycomb or core material, depending on design. The reduced interface area between and surface layer also increases probability of separation under an applied load. In this study, attention drawn to combination polymeric foam - structure a potential eliminate minimize polyurethane filled PLA (polylactic acid) composite with carbon fiber faces was subjected three-point bending tests ANSYS. results obtained show that new can be aerospace materials.
