چکیده

Introduction:Salmonella typhi and paratyphi - related enteric fever still poses serious health risks to people all over the world. Ceftriaxone azithromycin were recommended as preferred treatments for following emergence of fluoroquinolone resistance. Several reports ceftriaxone resistance have also been reported, hence accurate medication susceptibility tracking is essential maintain empiric management fever. This study’s objective determine MIC in order help clinicians prescribe right dosage stop Material Methods: The investigation was carried out 800 bedded hospital Ghaziabad using a cross-sectional prospective design. A total 228 Salmonella isolates included this investigation. isolates’ antibiotic assessed Kirby Bauer disc diffusion method, calculated Broth Micro-Dilution (BMD) method. Result: Of species that isolated, 64 (28.07%) A, 164 (71.92%) Salmonellatyphi. found 33 (20.12%) Salmonellatyphi strains while it 14 (21.87%) S. strains. 0.125 μg/ml MIC50 value well but MIC90 8 4 isolates. Conclusion: revealed concerning rise reemergence sensitivity first-line medications.

Determination of Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of Hygromycin B in CHO cells

Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells are considered as the most commonly used host for industrial manufacturing of therapeutic proteins. The aim of this study was to evaluate the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of hygromycin B in both CHO-DG44 and CHO-S cells since hygromycin B resistance cassette can be used for future selection of gene expression in CHO cells. The minimum inhibitory conce...

Determination of antibiotic susceptibility and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of the Propionibacterium acnes to the prevalent antibiotics in the treatment of Acne vulgaris

ABSTRACTPropionibacterium acnes is propounded as one of the significant factors in occurrence of acne. Today, due to development of the antibiotic resistance, most of the acne treatments are faced with failure. In order to determine the antibiotic resistance of the P.acnes strains isolated from the patients with acne, this research has been carried out. 70 samples collected using microbial cult...

Treatment of Japanese patients with enteric fever using azithromycin and MIC levels for causative organisms.

In Japan azithromycin (AZM) has been used to treat enteric fever caused by bacteria with resistance to fluoroquinolones; however, the dose, length of treatment and effectiveness of AZM among Japanese patients with enteric fever is unclear. We studied 5 Japanese adults and 1 Japanese child with enteric fever (4 had typhoid fever and 2 had paratyphoid fever) who were treated with oral AZM. The tr...
