Condition Monitoring of Internal Combustion Engines in Thermal Power Plants Based on Control Charts and Adapted Nelson Rules

In thermal power plants, the internal combustion engines are constantly subjected to stresses, requiring a continuous monitoring system in order check their operating conditions. However, most of time, these systems only indicate if monitored parameters nonconformity close occurrence catastrophic failure—they do not allow predictive analysis conditions machine. this paper, statistical model, based on control process and Nelson Rules, is proposed analyze operational machine supervisory data. The model validated through comparisons with entries plant logbook. It demonstrated that results obtained match perfectly logbook, showing our be promising tool for making decisions concerning maintenance plant.
