چکیده
We prove a transversality “lifting property” for compactified configuration spaces as an application of the multijet theorem: given submanifold configurations points on embedding compact manifold M in Euclidean space, we can find dense set smooth embeddings which corresponding space is transverse to any long two submanifolds are boundary-disjoint. use this setup provide attractive proof square-peg problem: there family smoothly embedded circles plane where each simple closed curve has odd number inscribed squares, and Rn square-like quadrilaterals.

The Discrete Square Peg Problem
The square peg problem asks whether every Jordan curve in the plane has four points which form a square. The problem has been resolved (positively) for various classes of curves, but remains open in full generality. We present two new direct proofs for the case of piecewise linear curves.
متن کاملA Survey on the Square Peg Problem
A continuous simple closed curve in the plane is also called a Jordan curve, and it is the same as an injective map from the unit circle into the plane or, equivalently, a topological embedding S1 ↩ R2. In its full generality Toeplitz’s problem is still open. So far it has been solved affirmatively for curves that are “smooth enough” by various authors for varying smoothness conditions; see the...
متن کاملKato’s Square Root Problem in Banach Spaces
Abstract. Let L be an elliptic differential operator with bounded measurable coefficients, acting in Bochner spaces Lp(Rn;X) of X-valued functions on Rn. We characterize Kato’s square root estimates ‖ √ Lu‖p h ‖∇u‖p and the H-functional calculus of L in terms of R-boundedness properties of the resolvent of L, when X is a Banach function lattice with the UMD property, or a noncommutative Lp spac...
متن کاملFundamental groups of log configuration spaces and the cuspidalization problem
In the present paper, we study the cuspidalization problem of the fundamental group of a curve by means of the log geometry of the log configuration space, which is a natural compactification of the usual configuration space of the curve. The goal of this paper is to show that the fundamental group of the configuration space is generated by the images from morphisms from a group extension of th...
متن کاملSquare Peg Reforms in round Hole Governments
Government often dominates developing countries. Sometimes government is the only game in town. Countries suffer when rules of this game are deficient and governments are ineffective or predatory. Because this frequently seems to be the case, public sector institutional reforms have emerged as central to development. These reforms are an essential element of interventions by players like the Wo...
