Conical Channel Design in AA7075/AZ91 Materials Joining with Mechanical Locking Method (MLM)

ABSTRACT
 Material types with different chemical and physical properties are employed by being joined in industrial applications. The major objective is to generate high-performance prochannels bringing outstanding of materials together. Many conventional methods, primarily welding method such as casting, adhesion, rivet weld, bolts joining procedures. Among the mechanical locking, a novel ecologically friendly method, stands out successful particularly when dissimilar metal types. Within scope this study, optimization channel geometry was performed on AZ91 mold part, AA7075/AZ91 material pairs using locking method. design paid attention ensure that it do not adversely affect stress values facilitates flow. Fixed joint angle fixed depth were used accordance data received from previous research results analysis. analyses completed finite element Static Structural Module Workbench 18.2 version ANSYS software. whole study carried 3D geometric models. As result, determined samples MLM significantly changed depending design. improved roughly 3% optimal design, while will facilitate flow achieved.
