Connecting sufficiency, materialism and the good life? Christian, Muslim and Hindu-based perspectives on EU-level

This article analyzes Christian, Muslim, and Hindu-based discourses practices in relation to sufficiency, materialism, the good life context of European Union. The current political scholarly debate emphasizes need for a sustainability transformation and, more specifically, reductions resource use by global consumer class. Within this discussion, different approaches interpretations various facets ecology links between them, have become primary focus. Questions about what “good life”, as opposed consumerist lifestyle, means focus on sufficiency rather than efficiency are being (re-)considered. Given that religions faith-based actors (FBAs) play an essential role interpreters norms values societies, especially when societies facing particular challenges, it is important understand how they communicate information relevant ideas actions. What do FBAs say sustainable lifestyles, materialism vis-à-vis those two ideas? How relate all questions faith? Do or secular idioms address practices?
