Constructing High-Resolution (10 km) Daily Diffuse Solar Radiation Dataset across China during 1982–2020 through Ensemble Model

چکیده
Diffuse solar radiation is an essential component of surface that contributes to carbon sequestration, photovoltaic power generation, and renewable energy production in terrestrial ecosystems. We constructed a 39-year (1982–2020) daily diffuse dataset (CHSSDR), using ERA5 MERRA_2 reanalysis data, with spatial resolution 10 km through developed ensemble model (generalized additive models, GAM). The validation results, ground-based measurements, showed GAM had high stable performance the correlation coefficient (R), root-mean-square error (RMSE), mean absolute (MAE) for sample-based cross-validations 0.88, 19.54 Wm−2, 14.87 respectively. CHSSDR highest consistency measurements among four products (CERES, ERA5, JiEA, CHSSDR), least deviation (MAE = 15.06 Wm−2 RMSE 20.22 Wm−2) R value (0.87). values China range from 59.13 104.65 multi-year average 79.39 1982 2020. Generally, low latitude altitude regions have larger than regions, eastern has less western China. This would be valuable analyzing regional climate change, applications, resources. freely available figshare.

Diffuse solar ultraviolet radiation.
The solar UV exposure to the eyes of humans is due to the direct and diffuse components of solar radiation. The direct ocular UV exposures to the eyes are reduced due to the natural aversion of the majority of people from looking directly at the sun. The diffuse UV is incident from all directions and as a result, it is more difficult to minimise the ocular exposure to this component of the sola...
متن کاملA Temperature-Based Model for Estimating Monthly Average Daily Global Solar Radiation in China
Since air temperature records are readily available around the world, the models based on air temperature for estimating solar radiation have been widely accepted. In this paper, a new model based on Hargreaves and Samani (HS) method for estimating monthly average daily global solar radiation is proposed. With statistical error tests, the performance of the new model is validated by comparing w...
متن کاملDevelopment and analysis of a 12-year daily 1-km forest fire dataset across North America from NOAA/AVHRR
Fires in boreal and temperate forests play a significant role in the global carbon cycle. While forest fires in North America (NA) have been surveyed extensively by U.S. and Canadian forest services, most fire records are limited to seasonal statistics without information on temporal evolution and spatial expansion. Such dynamic information is crucial for modeling fire emissions. Using the dail...
متن کاملSolar Radiation Forecasting, Accounting for Daily Variability
Radiation forecast accounting for daily and instantaneous variability was pursued by means of a new bi-parametric statistical model that builds on a model previously proposed by the same authors. The statistical model is developed with direct reference to the Liu-Jordan clear sky theoretical expression but is not bound by a specific clear sky model; it accounts separately for the mean daily var...
