Despite an abundance of literature highlighting the necessity achieving digital parity in low-income communities, a concrete characterization internet as essential household infrastructure remains elusive. The original research presented this paper uses Social Systems Theory framework for investigating how social housing residents use at-home to support their activities and domestic routines. findings illustrate within can increase efficiency breadth routine activities, become normalized result. results also highlight motivations adoption older adult households, well implications labour finances associated with service termination family households.
