Controlling metallic Co0 in ZIF-67-derived N-C/Co composite catalysts for efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction

چکیده
An efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction has been reported in ZIF-67-derived-Co nanoparticles (NPs) encapsulated nitrogen-doped carbon layers (N-C/Co). This work demonstrates that the pyrolysis temperature is crucial tuning grain size and components of metallic Co0 N-C/Co composite catalysts, which optimizes their activities. Syntheses were conducted at 600, 700, 800°C giving N-C/Co-600, N-C/Co-700, N-C/Co-800 samples, respectively. N-C can well wrap Co NPs obtained a low (600°C) owing to smaller grains than those other samples. A high content N-C/Co-600 sample be attributed effective inhibition surface oxidation. By contrast, CoOx oxides N-C/Co-700 samples cover inside cores, inhibiting charge separation transfer. As result, yields best activity. The monoxide hydrogen generation rates are as 1.62 × 104 2.01 µmol g?1 h?1, Additionally, make catalysts magnetic, enabling rapid facile recovery with assistance an external magnetic field. expected provide instructive guideline for designing metal-organic framework-derived carbon/metal catalysts.

متن کاملPhotocatalytic Reduction of CO2 to Formaldehyde: Role of Heterogeneous Photocatalytic Reactions in Origin of Life Hypothesis
Photocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide to formaldehyde was investigated on four semiconductor photocatalysts (FeS, FeS/FeS2, NiO and TiO2). The reaction was carried out in continues flow of CO2 gas bubbled into the reactor. Semiconductor photocatalysts were characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD) and Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopic (DRS) methods. Sulfide ion was used as hole scavenger. T...

The rational design of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with hollow features and tunable porosity at the nanoscale can enhance their intrinsic properties and stimulates increasing attentions. In this Communication, we demonstrate that methanol can affect the coordination mode of ZIF-67 in the presence of Co(2+) and induces a mild phase transformation under solvothermal conditions. By applying th...
