Cooperation Regimes and Hegemonic Struggle: Opportunities and Challenges for Developing Countries

There is an increasing convergence in the international relations literature around idea that changes world economy during last decades are reshaping order; although outcome of such a reconfiguration yet unclear, many scholars argue dispute over global hegemony already underway. At same time, drawing on realist and neorealist approaches, cooperation can be seen as means to gain legitimacy tighten alliances. In this framework, article analyses three regimes terrains expand—or maintain—international leadership.
