Crinum glaucum Bulb Extract Improves the Lipid Profile of Endotoxin-Induced Wistar Rats

Background and Objective: Medicinal plants are widely known as sources of potential that used in traditional medicine. The effect Crinum glaucum (C. glaucum) aqueous extract on the lipid profile endotoxin-induced rats was evaluated.
 Methodology: Fifty Wistar (male female) were divided randomly into five groups (n = 5). Group 1 is control group. 2 administered C. (1000 mg/kg body weight). 3 with ml/kg weight single dose lipopolysaccharide (LPS) for 4 hours. given LPS (4 hours) treated extract. 5 extract, LPS, At end administration, blood organs (brain, heart, lungs, liver, kidney) harvested (triglyceride, cholesterol, phospholipid) assay analysis using a spectrophotometric method.
 Results: reduction triglyceride, phospholipid concentrations hallmark endotoxin, revealed this study. While administration significantly (p<0.05) reduced cholesterol concentrations, there an up- or down-regulation triglyceride male compartments compared to control. A similar trend observed female compartment. Data also while causes profiles, reverses effect.
 Conclusion: findings research suggest has ameliorative therapeutic improving dysfunctions.
