Curating a domain ontology for rework in construction: challenges and learnings from practice

Rework remains an ever-present reality in construction projects. How rework data is defined, its format, location, and quantification contribute to the difficulty managing risks. This paper examines challenges acquired learnings encountered while attempting create curate a domain ontology construction. An explanatory case study approach utilizing lens of pragmatism used develop real-life transport infrastructure mega-project procured using program alliancing delivery strategy. As part alliance’s continuous improvement strategy, it aims redress problem by assessing risk pathways them semantic model through ontology.
