Damage Effect of Titanium Alloy by Reactive Fragment Oblique Penetration

Abstract The damage effect of reactive fragments on titanium alloy plates is studied through experiment and theoretical analysis. oblique penetration process the effects target influenced by incident angle velocity were analyzed. results show that: Under condition 30° incidence angle, perforation formation modes are extrusion warping/tearing at 734m/s 704m/s, respectively, which result to dimension 704m/s 1.56 times 734m/s; bulge formed under 1040m/s, 60° reaction ratio insufficient. According morphology plate, area in front plate can be described as five regions, energy density decreases with increase Angle.
