Dark energy by natural evolution: Constraining dark energy using Approximate Bayesian Computation
نویسندگان
چکیده
We look at dark energy from a biology inspired viewpoint by means of the Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC) and late time cosmological observations. find that dynamical comes out on top, or in ABC language naturally selected, over standard ΛCDM scenario. confirm this conclusion is robust to whether baryon acoustic oscillations Hubble constant priors are considered. Our results show algorithm prefers low values constant, consistent least few deviation away cosmic microwave background estimate, regardless taken initially each model. This supports result traditional MCMC analysis could be viewed as strengthening evidence for being more favorable model cosmology.

Constraining the coupling constant between dark energy and dark matter
We have investigated constraints on the coupling between dark matter and the interacting Chaplygin gas. Our results indicate that the coupling constant c between these two entities can take arbitrary values, which can be either positive or negative, thus giving arbitrary freedom to the inter-conversion between Chaplygin gas and dark matter. Thus, our results indicate that the restriction 0 < c ...
متن کاملConstraining TeVeS Gravity as Effective Dark Matter and Dark Energy
The phenomena customly described with the standard ΛCDM model are broadly reproduced by an extremely simple model in TeVeS, Bekenstein’s (2004) modification of General Relativity motivated by galaxy phenomenology. Our model can account for the acceleration of the universe seen in SNeIa distances without a cosmological constant, and the accelerations seen rotation curves of nearby spiral galaxie...
متن کاملConstraining dark energy with gamma - ray bursts
We use the cosmology-independent gamma-ray burst (GRB) distances of Wang (2008) to constrain dark energy cosmological model parameters. Current GRB data alone can not tightly constrain cosmological parameters and allow for a wide range of dark energy models. When used jointly with current Type Ia supernovae data and baryon acoustic peak measurements, the GRB data favor slightly lower values of ...
متن کاملProspects in Constraining the Dark Energy Potential
We generalize to non-flat geometries the formalism of Simon et al. (2005) to reconstruct the dark energy potential. This formalismmakes use of quantities similar to the Horizon-flow parameters in inflation, can, in principle, be made non-parametric and is general enough to be applied outside the simple, single scalar field quintessence. Since presently available and forthcoming data do not allo...
متن کاملEvaluating Dark Energy Probes Using Multidimensional Dark Energy Parameters
We investigate the value of future dark-energy experiments by modeling their ability to constrain the darkenergy equation of state. Similar work was recently reported by the Dark Energy Task Force (DETF) using a two dimensional parameterization of the equation-of-state evolution. We examine constraints in a ninedimensional dark-energy parameterization, and find that the best experiments constra...
