Definitions and Security of Quantum Electronic Voting

چکیده
Recent advances indicate that quantum computers will soon be reality. Motivated by this ever more realistic threat for existing classical cryptographic protocols, researchers have developed several schemes to resist “quantum attacks.” In particular, electronic voting (e-voting), relying on properties of mechanics been proposed. However, each these proposals comes with a different and often not well-articulated corruption model, has objectives, is accompanied security claims are never formalized at best justified only against specific attacks. To address this, we propose the first formal definitions e-voting protocols. With hand, systematize evaluate previously proposed protocols; examine works concerning privacy, correctness, verifiability, if they correctly attributed all non-trivial cases, identify attacks violate properties. We argue cause failures lies in absence models references literature.

Electronic Voting: Security Issues
This paper covers the some of the security issues in current electronic voting systems. There are many problems with current electronic voting systems . The certification of systems in the USA is done without public input, and the resulting certification reports are kept secret. Many machines lack external audit capabilit ies such as a voter verifiable paper trail. Many systems can be easily ha...
متن کاملDefinitions and Criteria of CIA Security Triangle in Electronic Voting System Authors
Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability are three sides of the famous CIA security triangle. Since the evoting systems are built from particular components, the CIA security triangle of these systems has particular definitions for each side. This paper presents these CIA security definitions and criteria which each state-of-the-art electronic voting system must meet based on the view point...
متن کاملAn Overview of Electronic Voting and Security
The author of this note has been accused of being a computer scientist, never an election official. Thus, this paper provides a discussion of various requirements to illustrate how one would determine desirable qualities. Election officials will have their own perspective, honed by experience, of the importance of these requirements, and can weigh them appropriately. Some seem universal; others...
متن کاملD4.1 - Security definitions and attacker models for e-voting protocols
In 2010 Hao, Ryan and Zielinski proposed a simple decentralized e-voting protocol that only requires 2 rounds of communication. Thus, for k elections their protocol needs 2k rounds of communication. Observing that the first round of their protocol is aimed to establish the public-keys of the voters, we propose an extension of the protocol as a non-interactive e-voting scheme in the public-key s...
متن کاملSecurity Aspects of Electronic Voting Systems
An electronic voting (e-voting) system is a voting system in which the election data is recorded, stored and processed primarily as digital information. There are two types of e-voting: on-line, e.g. via Internet, and offline, by using a voting machine or an electronic polling booth. Security is the main challenge of e-voting. This is the reason why designing a secure e-voting system is very im...
