چکیده

The high fine-aggregate content of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) means that its deformational behavior differs from vibrated concrete. SCC performance is further altered when industrial by-products are used as raw materials in those fractions. In this paper, the aim to analyze and model under compression bending containing 100% coarse 0%, 50%, fine Recycled Aggregate (RA), limestone RA green aggregate powders sized 0/0.5 mm, Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag (GGBS) cement. After fresh mechanical characterization 18 mixes were produced, their compressive stress-strain load-deflection curves determined by continuously recording applied load strain/deflection values test specimens. yielded deformability levels accordance with international standards, while higher contents increased deformation reduced it flexural stress. stiffness GGBS was added, due adjustment proportion cementitious matrix, use powder and, especially, had opposite effect. Both strain deflection underestimated existing theoretical models. However, incorporation models both exponential correction coefficients, dependent on content, partial types cement powder, produced optimal fits experimental curves. view behavior, which successfully modelled maximum deviations ±10%, may be combination although recommended should not exceed proportions 50%.

mechanical and durability properties of slag based recycled aggregate concrete

in this paper, the possibility of using recycled aggregate (ra) and ground granulated blast furnace slag (ggbfs) to produce a structural concrete was studied by compromising strength to a lesser extent. hence an attempt has been made to study the strength and durability characteristics of the ggbfs-based recycled aggregate concrete. four different groups of mixes were designed by replacing natu...

Investigating properties of fresh and hardened self-compacting concrete made of recycled aggregates

Self-compacting concrete is a new high performance concrete with high ductility and segregation resistance. In recent years, construction material manufacturers have focused their attention on lightweight concrete and have strived to use lightweight concrete, if possible, in load-bearing parts of buildings. Concrete with both self-compacting and lightweight properties is favourable in this cont...

Experimental Study on Thermal Conductivity of Self-Compacting Concrete with Recycled Aggregate

The research focuses on the use of recycled aggregate (RA), from waste pieces generated during production in precast plants for self-compacting concrete (SCC) manufactured with a double sustainable goal: recycle manufacturing waste (consumption) and improvement of the thermal properties of the manufactured product (energy efficiency). For this purpose, a mechanical study to ensure technical fea...

Performance of Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement Containing Recycled Concrete Aggregate

In 1995, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began reconstruction in Houston on a section of IH-10 with continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP). The unique aspect of this project was the use of crushed concrete as both coarse and fine aggregates in the new concrete. No virgin aggregates were used. The primary objectives of this study were to evaluate (1) the material propert...

Towards Better Understanding of Concrete Containing Recycled Concrete Aggregate

The effect of using recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) on the basic properties of normal concrete is studied. First, recycled aggregate properties have been determined and compared to those of normal aggregates. Except for absorption, there was not a significant difference between the two. Later, recycled aggregates were introduced in concrete mixes. In these mixes, natural coarse aggregate was...
