It is shown that the (absolute) extension constant e(T) of an operator T such that TG, = h,v,, k = 1,2, for some unconditional basis (ol, r;,> of a two-dimensional real normed space is less than or equal to (1~~1 + IA,1 + 2 AT IA,h,J + Ai )/3.
