Design of a Slot-Spaced Permanent Magnet Linear Alternator Based on Numerical Analysis

Linear alternators work seamlessly with Free-Piston Stirling Engines (FPSE) in the energy conversion process. This research concentrates on design and development of a tubular slot-spaced Permanent Magnet Alternator (PMLA) to be coupled FPSE. In an attempt increase power density machine over conventional PMLAs, slot space is added reduce total mass stator parametrical study carried out for same. Numerically analyzing fundamental parameters such as change magnet materials, operating conditions frequency stroke length. The effects slotting are studied understand skinning tooth performance variation machine. A modified model obtained surpass 100 W from numerical analysis parametric variations. Putting extreme limitations, conducted upon variations stable maximum 186 W/kg produced 921 designed PMLA. outlines seen diverse they go through during their life cycle.
